Howdy Folks!

As a former US Army Ranger, Drill Instructor and an advisor / trainer to the Bosnian & Herzegovina Army (1996-97) under the US State Department approved "Train & Equip Program." I have always enjoyed sharing with soldiers my personal experiences, tips, tricks and ideas in how to survive & thrive in military outdoor environment through field expedient know-how.

Now although I've been retired from the United States Army since January 1993, I am still doing what I like, teaching and training soldiers.  But not in a class room but through a series of books I have written called THE RANGER DIGESTS

They're about how to survive and thrive in the outdoors "military style." From how to take a crap in the woods, improvise, modify and improve military and commercial outdoor gear to lots of useful tips, tricks & ideas that you won't find in other survival books, military or civilian.

And it wasn't long after I published my first Ranger Digest that I began to receive orders not only from soldiers but from campers, hunters, hikers and other outdoor enthusiasts who wanted to learn some of my unique and unusual tips from my Ranger Digests.

Now before decided to write these handbooks I use to forward all my tips, tricks & ideas to the Department of the Army. But the only thing I ever received back were letters saying, "...sorry, not feasible for military outdoor field conditions.

Well, since the Army wasn't interested in my ideas I decided to write a book about my tips & tricks and try to market it to the troops. After all, when it comes to "common sense" and "field craft ingenuity" the troops know more about this than some "chair-borne" Colonel or General sitting behind his nice cozy desk at the Pentagon. You know what I mean?

And my instincts proved to be right on target too, because not only did the troops love my first Ranger Digest but they also help me write my other Ranger Digests too, II thru IX. No doubt it was a blessing in disguise that the Army did reject my tips, tricks and ideas or there wouldn't be a Ranger Digest series today. Their loss - my gain! Or I should say OUR GAIN, all you Ranger Digest readers and contributors.

And now not a day goes by that I don't receive an email or letter from someone telling me how much they enjoyed not only my books but my website here too. And you know what? I never get tired of receiving these letters and emails, never.

Now for those of you who know of tip, trick or two that you would like to share with me for a future Ranger Digest publication. I have just one rule and one rule only, so listen carefully: DO NOT send me any of your tips UNLESS you have read ALL nine (9) copie of my Ranger Digest (I-IX). Why?

Because whenever someone has sent me a tip or trick in the past and they have NOT read ALL of my Ranger Digests, most of the time it was already submitted by someone else and it got published in one of my books. And so if you can't follow my one rule, then don't expect me to reply back to you. But if you do write to me and I do accept your tip or trick, don't worry you will hear from me and you will receive a free Ranger Digest book when your tip or trick is officially published, but NOT before.

And now I not only self publish my own military/outdoor survival handbooks but I also market my own survival kits too. That's right, what started as a hobby in trying to come up with the best lightweight survival kit soon become an online mail order business for me once people found out about my kits. And I love it, I love putting these survival kits together and selling them because I know someday they could save someone's life. To learn more about my survival kits just click on my SOS Necklace and My Store & Stuff page.

Well I guess by now you're anxious to find out what kind of survival tips & tricks I have here on my website, right? Of course you are, but before you check'em out I have a little itty-bitty favor to ask of you.  And that is if you really like what you find here on my website I hope you will spread the word and let others know about my website. Will you do that for me? Please?

Oh, and one last thing...Just so you know, I don't live in the US of A but here in Italy instead. I live in a small town famous for it's wine called BARDOLINO, located on the largest lake in Northern Italy called Lake Garda. And so if you are ever here in my neighborhood, stop by for a glass of wine. And if you're curious as to why I chose to retire here and not back in the USA. Well it's because I fell in love with the Italian wine, pizza, pasta and the Italian women here, but not necessarily in that order, if you know what mean. Check out the official website of Bardolino site and you'll see why I chose to retire here and love it.

Well thanks for stopping by, I hope you like what you find here and you'll come back again when I have posted some more tips & tricks. And if you're interested in learning what the rest of my tips & tricks are about, sorry but you'll have to buy my Ranger Digest series to find out.

And now without further delay you may click on my tips & tricks to the left of this screen. Enjoy!
